BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One South East new boys Ilkeston Town have signed defender Dean Freeman.

A tall imposing centre half, he joined Southern League Premier Division Central side Coalville Town in the summer of 2015 before helping the team to play-off success and made over 160 appearances for the Ravens.

 

Originally with Barnsley, Freeman has also been with Rainworth Miners Welfare.

 

He joins the Robins for an undisclosed fee.

 

Coalville chairman Glyn Rennocks told the club`s website: “I have nothing but respect for Dean and he’s been a pleasure to have around the club as well as being a very good player. I’m glad he can go and get regular football again and thank him for his efforts at Coalville”.
