.....defender Ed Asafu-Adjaye and midfielder Stuart Bridges along with several of last season`s play-off squad.
Twenty-nine-year-old Asafu-Adjaye spent the previous campaign with Evo-Stik Southern Premier side Royston Town, making over 50 appearances.
He started out in the youth ranks at Luton Town before moving into the first-team, making in excess of 60 appearances for the Hatters.
He moved to Forest Green Rovers in the summer of 2012, making around 40 appearances in his two seasons at The New Lawn.
In April 2014 he was released and joined newly-promoted Vanarama National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town but suffered a couple of long-term injuries that set him back over recent years, however, he played regularly last season at Royston.
Hayes boss Paul Hughes told the club`s official website: "We feel fortunate to have signed a fit version of Ed because he is an experienced, tough and very reliable player with good quality on the ball. A great addition to our squad.”
Experienced 32-year-old midfielder Bridges also started the 2017/18 campaign with Royston before departing to sign for Uhlsport Hellenic Leaguers Bicester Town on dual registration.
He started out in the youth ranks at Aston Villa where he became an England Youth international before moving to Banbury United where he spent a couple of seasons before switching to play for Didcot Town and then Ardley United.
In 2014 he joined Royston, making in excess of 100 appearances for the Crows and he now joins United to bolster Paul Hughes' squad options for the new campaign as United look to push for promotion.
In addition to the two new signings, Hughes has re-signed goalkeeper Jack Smith, defenders Keano Robinson, Toby Little and Ryan Kinnane, strikers Duncan Culley, Ismael Ehui and Manny Duku and midfielders Scott Donnelly, Laste Dombaxe and Jack Roper from last season`s squad. |
