Defender
Oran Thompson joins on loan from SkyBet Championship side Huddersfield Town.
The
centre-back joined Huddersfield at under-11 level and captained the under-18
side, has also played for the under-19s and signed professional terms in May.
He
has had NPL experience before in a loan spell with Division One North West side
Brighouse Town in the second half of 2017/18.
The
Tigers other new arrival is the vastly experienced wide player Martyn Woolford.
The
33-year-old started his career in non-League football with Glasshoughton
Welfare and Frickley Athletic before stepping up to the National league with
York City in 2006.
He
earned two England C caps whilst a Minsterman before signing for League One
side Scunthorpe United in August 2008.
He
went on to make 103 appearances for the Iron, scoring 15 goals, before making 55
appearances for Bristol City, 93 for Millwall, 28 for Sheffield United, 9 for
Fleetwood Town and 66 for Grimsby Town, from whom he was released at the end of
last season. |
