Tow New Defenders for Wands

BetVictor Isthmian League Premier Division club Cray Wanderers have added a couple of central defenders to their squad.

Geofrey Okonkwo has made the short journey from Isthmian South East newcomers Cray Valley PM to join the Wands.

He had signed for the Southern Counties East League champions earlier this summer after leaving relegated Greenwich Borough.

Okonkwo switched to then-Isthmian South East side Greenwich in March 2019 from Isthmian North outfit Grays Athletic.

After breaking into the Grays first team towards the end of the 2018/19 season, the young defender started 20 games for Grays before moving on.

The Wands have also signed another centre-back, initially on a month’s loan, in Harry Hudson (pictured) from Premier League Watford.

The 18-year-old is highly rated at Vicarage Road.

He came through the West Ham United youth system in 2017 playing in their under-18 side.

He signed for Watford in July 2017 where he has played in the under-18 and more recently in the under-23s.
