BetVictor Isthmian League North club Aveley have re-signed forward Alex Read.

Read joined Tonbridge Angels in June 2018 from Harlow Town with an outstanding pedigree of 178 goals in 278 appearances for the Hawks.

He played a major part in Angels winning promotion to the National League South via the Isthmian Premier play-offs in 2018/19 with 13 goals.

But goalscoring is not the only part of his game as his holding up of the ball when seemingly crowded out in the final third proved invaluable to the team.

Previously with Tilbury and Brentwood Town as well as an earlier spell with Aveley.
