BetVictor Southern League Division One South side Evesham United edged out Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division visitors Harefield United 2-1 at the Jubilee Stadium.

Kai Tonge was the Worcestershire hosts` hero with a brace in the 22nd and 50th minutes, with Harefield`s reply coming from an 88th minute penalty.

Harefield`s new league rivals Dunstable Town, relegated from the Southern Division One Central at the end of last season, made no mistake in beating Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West side   Shortwood United 4-1 at Creasey Park.

Chris Stapleton, Evans Lamboh, Jack Harvey and Luke Little were the Dunstable marksmen.

Cray Wanderers, promoted to the Isthmian League Premier Division at the end of the 2018/19 season, hammered former Isthmian South East rivals Hythe Town 5-0 to go through.

The Wands were three-up at the break at Hayes Lane, thanks to a Tom Murphy brace on 9 and 39 minutes and a goal in first half injury-time from Joe Taylor.

Brad Pritchard added a fourth just past the hour-mark and Taylor made it a nap hand in stoppage time with his second.

And the all-Isthmian South Central tie between FC Romania and Ware ended in a 3-3 thriller.

Adrian Hurdubei gave the hosts a 16th minute lead – the only goal of the first half.

Ware equalised through Louis Rose on 59 minutes, but less than a minute later Hurdubei scored his second to restore FC Romania`s lead.

Olu Akinsanya pulled the visitors back on terms in the 78th minute, only for sub Lawrence Neuruba to seemingly win it for the home side in the 89th minute.

However, Tom Boxer popped up with a stoppage time leveller to earn Ware a replay.
