Linnets Sign Experienced Keeper

BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One North West club Runcorn Linnets have signed experienced goalkeeper Richie Mottram from league rivals and neighbours Widnes.

The vastly experienced keeper originally joined Widnes in June 2016.

He has played over 250 games in the NPL following a spell in the Conference North with Leigh RMI in 2007.

He lifted the North West Counties League Cup with Winsford United in 2011 and won promotion from the First Division with Barnton in 2016.

He was an important member of the Widnes squad that won the First Division title at the conclusion of the 2016/17 season before returning from a brief spell at Burscough.

He began the 2017/18 season with Northwich Victoria before returning to Widnes in September 2017.
