The highly rated midfield duo, who can both operate in a number of positions, featured regularly for the Pilgrims first team during pre-season.

Purrington (pictured) is very comfortable on the ball and made a number of appearances at under-18 level during 2015/16 season as a 15-year-old in the Youth Alliance and Merit League.

He also made his debut for the club`s second string in the South West Peninsula League and was involved in last season’s successful FA Youth Cup run overcoming Manchester City and Burnley and he also had exposure in Central League fixtures.

Sangster made his under-18s debut during 2014/15 season against AFC Bournemouth in the last game of the South West Youth Alliance triumph. He was also involved on five other occasions. He scored twice coming on as a late sub against Cheltenham Town helping the side to recover from a 4-1 deficit to gain a 4-4 draw.

He also had exposure to the Merit League 1 fixtures and men’s football in the South West Peninsula League that season.

Like Purrington, Sangster was also involved in the successful FA Youth Cup run and made his debut for the first team coming on as a sub against Oldham Athletic in the latter part of the season as well has gaining exposure with the Central League team.

Manager Callum Brooks told https://dorchestertownfc.co.uk: “Most clubs that are at our level will have loan players in and around the squad – we haven’t done that yet as we wanted to have a settled group and implement how we want to play and how we want to work, knowing that we felt we could utilise the loan market at a time that would impact us greater, rather than when everyone turned up for pre-season training on 2nd July.”

“We’ve held back, but now we feel it is the right time to bring in two talented young lads to just give our competition for places and energy levels a boost, and to cover us for some injuries.

“I’d like to thank Kevin Nancekivell at Plymouth who has made it an easy process for us to get the boys in. We hope they can have an enjoyable experience with us, and we look forward to working with them”.
