Assal (pictured) is an exciting forward who the Dons rate highly.
He
joined the Dons` academy as an under-12 after leaving Millwall.
Having
played for the under-18s since he was 15, he signed his first professional
contract with the Dons in April 2019, at the age of 17.
Also
joining the Met is striker Mitchell Parker.
Parker`s
early career included spells as an 18-year-old at Tottenham Hotspur and
Leicester City before spending the 2013/14 season at Hayes & Yeading United.
After
playing in Portugal the following season, he returned to the UK and signed for
Uhlsport Hellenic League club Highmoor-Ibis in September 2015 (the club renamed
Reading City since), where he spent three successful seasons before moving to
Bracknell Town.
He
joined Basingstoke Town in October 2018 but his game time for `Stoke was
limited, but his season had got off to a great start with Reading City, where
he scored 19 goals in 11 games. His departure from the Camrose club at the end
of November 2018 and he signed for Hartley Wintney shortly afterwards.
He
has also had the honour of captaining an ‘ambassadorial’ FA England squad
managed by Paul Fairclough, the England C team manager.
The
specially assembled FA squad travelled to the Falkland Islands in early
November and Parker scored during one of two games played there. |
