Triple Signing at Brig

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Bamber Bridge have made three new signings ahead of this weekend`s fixture at South Shields.

Manager Mick Taylor has confirmed the signing of full-back Ben Thomas.

The 22-year-old joins Brig from Cumbrian neighbours Kendal Town, having previously served his time at Morecambe's academy.

Joining Thomas is the experienced Danny Wisdom.

The signing of the 29-year-old was described as `a great coup` by Taylor as he brings a wealth of non-League experience to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.

Wisdom, who can play both full-back or central midfield, has been out for a while with a serious injury a snapped Achilles - but is now fully recovered.

Wisdom previously played for Kendal, Northwich Victoria, FC United of Manchester, Skelmersdale United and Stalybridge Celtic.

Taylor has also completed the loan signing of defender James McCarten from league rivals Warrington Town.

The 63 centre-half started his career with Everton as youth player and captained their under-18 side, being named as their player of the year in 2009.

He later joined JD Welsh Premier side Aberystwyth Town before heading to Warrington in 2012.
