Manager
Jay Saunders has added Crystal Palace goalkeeper Joe Tupper on loan for the
rest of the season and brought in former Ilkeston Town striker Elliot Reeves to
his squad.
Tupper
has been on the books at Chelsea and played for Reading at under-18 level.
He
has enjoyed some non-League experience before having played for the
Metropolitan Police. More recently, Tupper has been on the bench for the Eagles
on two occasions, against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile,
striker Reeves (pictured) adds to Saunders’ attacking options having re-located to Kent
recently.
He
joins the Gate having scored 36 goals last season for Ilkeston as they won promotion
as champions of the Total Motion Midland League and was rewarded for such a
prolific campaign with the club’s player of the year award.
He
joined Ilkeston in the summer of 2018 from Heanor Town and became a firm
favourite with the fans. He was previously with Graham Street Prims.
Both
players will be available for selection for tomorrow’s trip to Horsham YMCA.
Meanwhile,
the club can confirm that midfielder Harrison Pont has joined Isthmian South
East neighbours Sittingbourne on loan to gain first team experience.
