Bromley maintained their unbeaten start to the 2019/20 Vanarama National League season with a 2-1 win at Hayes Lane against the now only team without a win – Chesterfield.

It was striker Michael Cheek`s day, as he gave Bromley a 27th minute lead that Liam Mandeville eventually levelled in the 72nd minute.

 

But less than a minute later, Cheek looped a header in to win it for Neil Smith`s side.

 

FC Halifax Town missed the chance to return to the top of the fledgling table when they suffered a second loss, 2-0 at The Shay against Yeovil Town.

 

The Glovers also had a two-goal hero in Gold Omotayo, who gave the visitors an early 5th minute lead and then doubled that on 69 minutes.

 

Promoted Chorley finally got off the mark as they ended visiting Stockport County`s three-match winning run.

 

Stockport, who came up with the Magpies at the end of last season, fell behind to a 6th minute Chris Holroyd effort.

 

Holroyd added his and the hosts` second 20 minutes later and then sub Elliot Newby wrapped up Chorley`s first three-point haul in stoppage time.

 

Maidenhead United were beaten 1-0 at York Road by Dagenham & Redbridge.

 

The only goal of the game arrived 2 minutes after half-time when James Dobson converted a penalty.

 

Boreham Wood enjoyed a good 3-1 Meadow Park success over Dover Athletic.

 

Kabongo Tshimanga gave the hosts a great start with a goal inside 3 minutes.

 

And the same player doubled his side`s lead 16 minutes later.

 

Inih Effiong reduced the deficit 3 minutes later, but Tyrone Marsh made sure the points stayed in Hertfordshire with a third just past the hour-mark.

 

Barrow AFC had a good 2-1 win at the EBB Stadium against an Aldershot Town side who won last time out.

 

John Rooney broke the deadlock to put the Bluebirds in front right on th stroke of half-time.

 

Josh Kay added the visitors` second after 68 minutes and Ian Evatt`s men held firm, despite Ethan Chislett pulling one back 10 minutes from time.

 

Harrogate Town`s long trek to Devon to take on Torquay United ended up being fruitless after the Gulls recorded a 4-2 win.

 

And Gary Johnson`s side had to come back from being a 33rd minute Jon Stead penalty behind too which gave Town a half time lead.

 

Jake Andrews equalised on 52 minutes before Stead struck again to restore the advantage 5 minutes later.

 

However, just minutes later though Stead was dismissed for a second yellow card.

 

And Torquay made the most of their man advantage with goals from Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala on 68 minutes and a Jamie Reid brace on 72 and 79 minutes.

 

Ebbsfleet United picked up just their sixth point of the campaign after a 1-1 draw at Stonebridge Road against Eastleigh.

 

Alex Reid gave Fleet a 39th minute lead that Tyrone Barnett cancelled out on 64 minutes.

 

It also finished 1-1 at Gander Green Lane between Sutton United and Notts County, who fell behind to a 12th minute Harry Beautyman effort.

 

Kyle Wootton equalised 8 minutes into the second period.
