Boro Get Carter Back
11-02-2019 I News Headlines
Midfielder Mike Carter has re-joined Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South club Gosport Borough on a month`s loan from Vanarama National League neighbours Havant & Waterlooville.

Carter returns to Boro to try and help the club turn their season around.

Carter joined the Hawks in January 2017 following a two-and-a-half-year spell at Gosport.

Carter became an instant fans favourite as he helped the Hawks lift the Bostik League title in 2017.

Before his spell at Gosport he enjoyed success across the coast in Southampton where he enjoyed spells at Hamble Club and Sholing with him lifting the Buildbase FA Vase at Wembley with the latter team back in 2014.

Player-manager Craig McAllister told the club’s website: “Mike spent two and half years at the club and is a massive signing for us. Coming in off the back of a six or seven month lay-off due to ankle surgery Mike is chewing at the bit to get back playing and help his former club survive.

“I am over the moon with the signing, and to be able to bring Mike in as he has great experience and brings a fight and determination to do well.

“He’s just what we are missing in the middle of the park”.
