Holmes proved his quality with newly-promoted Wimborne Town last season and joins the Dolphins after spending only a few weeks at Salisbury’s Ray McEnhill Stadium.

The 22-year-old was in his third spell with Wimborne before leaving to join rivals Salisbury in late August.

He re-signed for the Magpies in June 2016 from Dorchester Town and had initially joined on a permanent basis in October 2015 from Poole but was first a Magpie in 2014/15 when he made 17 appearances on loan from AFC Bournemouth.
