Chris
Salmon has joined from league rivals Bishop Auckland.
The
former Gateshead, York City and Whitley Bay youngster spent last season with
the Two Blues, where he suffered an injury which ruled him out of contention
for the remainder of that season.
He
is a versatile addition to the club as the winger is also able to play in
defence and has even been known to start up front on occasion.
Meanwhile,
Denver Morris (pictured) has re-joined the club.
Since
leaving the Robins in 2017, Morris has spent time playing for Morpeth Town,
West Auckland Town and most recently Bishop Auckland, who he joined at the
beginning of this current season.
During
his first spell with the club, Morris very quickly became a fan favourite, with
his versatility and strength causing opposing defenders all sorts of problems.
Before
he left the Robins in 2017, he made a total of 72 appearances, scoring 17
goals.
Fans
fondly remember his man of the match performance in the 2015 Buildbase FA Vase
Final against Glossop North End, where he set up Adam Forster’s winning goal at
Wembley which saw the club triumph 2-1. |
