Preston (pictured) is a 27-year-old centre-back with a wealth of experience at this level, and
above.
He
had only joined Southern Premier Division Central club Nuneaton Borough in June
from Sutton Coldfield Town having re-joined the Royals in March 2019 from
Stratford Town.
He
began his career in Birmingham City’s academy and had two spells on loan at
Hereford United in 2010 and 2011.
A
permanent transfer to AFC Telford United followed in the summer of 2011, where
he was a regular member of the side over the next two seasons. However, after
losing his place early in the 2013/14 season he spent a month on loan at Barrow
AFC, and then a further month with Stourbridge before returning to Telford and
collecting a championship medal at the end of that season as the Bucks won the
National League North title.
He
joined Tamworth in the summer of 2014 and spent two seasons with the Lambs,
where he established himself in the National League North before returning to
Telford in the summer of 2016. However,
with game time limited, he had loan stints with Sutton Coldfield, Leamington
and Hednesford Town before moving to Hereford FC in August 2017.
In
January 2018 he switched to Bromsgrove Sporting and then joined Stratford in
December 2018.
Punter
is a 22-year-old defender who represented Antigua & Barbuda at
international level in a game against Puerto Rico in the qualification group
for the Caribbean cup in 2017.
He
signs for the Greenbacks from Southern Premier Central outfit AFC Rushden &
Diamonds, who he joined in the summer of 2017.
He
was a junior at Mansfield Town before joining Nuneaton Borough`s under-21 set-up.
He
then played at Barwell before joining Rugby Town.
He
signed dual registration terms with Melton Town in November 2018 but returned
to the heart of the Diamonds defence shortly afterwards. |
