The 24-year-old attacking midfielder was brought to Vale by then-owner Norman Smurthwaite from BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One North West side Leek in January but hasn't featured in manager John Askey's squad.

Trickett-Smith signed for Liverpool from Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2012 before making a move across the pond to the United States of America, signing for third tier side Sacramento Republic FC.

After a year in the States, the attacking midfielder returned to England to sign for Leek.

Vale have been keen to get Trickett-Smith out on loan for game time.
