Diogo
joins from Greek Super League side Levadiakos where he made 23 appearances.
He
was born in Lisbon but is of São Tomé and Príncipe – an island country in the
Gulf of Guinea, off the western equatorial coast of Central Africa descent
and
he received his first international cap in October 2015 in a 2018 FIFA World
Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.
He
started his career with Benfica is a youth and also had spells with fellow Portuguese
sides Olivias Sul, Casa Pia, Alverca and Carregedo before moving to England in
2005 and turning out for Chelmsford City.
He
then had a couple of seasons in the Isthmian League with Lewes and Aveley
before returning on his travels with Icelandic outfit KR Reykjavik, Greek sides
Panachiaki and Panthrakikos, back to Portugal with Vitoria Setubal and then
back over to Greece with Kerkyra and then, from 2018, Levadiakos. |
