Striker
Lewis Smith (pictured) makes a swift return to the club from Isthmian Premier Division
neighbours East Thurrock United.
The
29-year-old had only switched to the Rocks in June.
He
started his career with Fulham, where he spent three years as a professional
before being released in 2008 when he joined Bishop`s Stortford.
Short
spells with Chelmsford City and Thurrock followed before he signed for AFC
Hornchurch in 2012 where he made 44 appearances and scored 12 goals. That
earned him a move to the Rocks for the first time in 2014.
He
played for the Dockers during the 2018/19 season and scored 27 goals but,
struggled to settle at Rookery Hill.
Goalkeeper
Mitchell Ware made his debut in goal for the Dockers on Saturday having joined
from Isthmian South Central side Barking.
Ware
began his career at West Ham United’s academy, but left due to limited
opportunities in December 2015.
He
signed a two-year scholarship deal with SkyBet League One side Ipswich Town in
the summer of 2016, despite an offer from Stoke City and the offer of a
professional deal at Southend United.
And
he made numerous appearances for the Tractor Boys under-18 and under-23 teams
and also had loan spells with Lowestoft Town and Aveley.
