Wheeler
made a sensational return to Billericay in January 2019 after being appointed
as the club’s new manager after being confirmed as Dean Brennan’s successor.
Wheeler’s
first stint in charge of Billericay was a huge success as he led them to the
treble in 2017/18.
Town
claimed the Isthmian Premier title, along with Isthmian League Cup and Essex
Senior Cup honours last term.
But
Wheeler was sacked just six matches into the National League South campaign,
with the first defeat of the season at Chippenham Town being his final
encounter in charge.
Having
departed Billericay at the end of August 2018, Wheeler took charge of then-National
League side Maidstone United less than a month later.
Wheeler
attracted former Billericay stars Jake Robinson, Rob Swaine and Simon Walton to
the Kent club in a bid to turn around their fortunes.
However,
Wheeler left the Gallagher Stadium with Stones in the relegation places in December
2018.
He
now departs Billericay again, despite being seventh in the table with five wins
and four draws from their eleven games, including Saturday`s 2-2 draw at Oxford
City.
