Louis
had left BetVictor Southern League Premier Division South side Chesham United
last week and Boro boss Gary McCann was quick to sign him as cover as Tyrone
Lewthwaite has only just started light training.
Ironically,
it was Louis who actually recommended Lewthwaite to Hampton in the summer, so
to also have him in the club to mentor the club’s young strikers will be a big
bonus.
The
now 40-year-old joined Chesham in December 2017 from Banbury United, and spent
the rest of the 2017/18 season at Chesham before a short spell at Farnborough,
re-joining Chesham in September 2018.
During
his long career he has played for no less than 38 clubs now, including making Football
League appearances for Oxford United, Bristol Rovers and Mansfield Town, and
also played for Dominica in a World Cup qualifier in 2008. |
