After graduating through Plymouth Argyle`s academy, Battle was given a professional contract with the SkyBet League Two outfit and was a leading light in Argyle second string’s push at the top of the South West Peninsula League last season.

The 20-year-old, who had a month`s loan spell with Salisbury in November 2017, spent the second half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan with Truro, then in the Vanarama National League South.

However, while his form with the White Tigers was good, it was not enough to earn him a new deal with the Pilgrims and he was one of six first team squad players to leave in May.

Now, after failing to get fixed up with a club over the summer, Battle will return to Treyew Road where he will again work with former Plymouth assistant-manager Paul Wotton, who took over as Truro manager in the summer.
