Frickley Bring in Hollingsworth

BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One South East club Frickley Athletic have signed Michael Hollingsworth.

Hollingsworth is a midfielder who joins from NPL Division One North West outfit Pickering Town.

The 25-year-old joined the Pikes in the summer from Matlock Town. He had signed for the Gladiators in November 2018 from Grantham Town.

He began his career with Nottingham Forrest as a youngster before joining Boston United, where he made several appearances in Conference North.

He made the move to Grantham permanent by signing a contract in 2015 and became an ever-present fan favourite in their squads for the next three seasons, playing a major part in their run to the play-off finals.

He departed Grantham having played over 150 times and holds the odd distinction that the Gingerbreads never lost a game that Hollingsworth had scored in.
