Born in Stoke-on-Trent, Chapman qualified to play for the British Virgin Islands due to him holding a British passport and he made his debut for them in the Caribbean Cup in March 2016 against Martinique.

He then played for the islands in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Chapman returned to Leek in October 2015 from Glossop North End after previously leaving to join Kidsgrove Athletic.

He originally joined the Blues on loan from Nantwich Town in November 2011 and made the move permanent later on in the season.

He has made over 200 appearances for Leek - the only keeper to do so.
