Collins
had been in charge for two years and helped them to win two trophies - the
first silverware that the club has secured in 20 years.
Collins
was appointed as manager in September 2017 following the departure of Paul
Piggott.
Chatham
had suffered relegation from the Isthmian League at the end of the 2016/17
season are were struggling in the SCEL Premier Division when he took over.
Collins,
36, who was controversially axed by Cray Valley PM in August 2017, had been part
of Greenwich Borough’s coaching staff before taking over at Chatham.
He
guided the Chats to Kent Senior Trophy and Challenge Cup triumphs and to a top
four spot last season. |
