Midfielder
James Rogers has joined the Cannons from Isthmian League Premier Division side
Margate.
The
34-year-old has had two spells with Dover Athletic and with Margate, returning
to Hartsdown Park in February 2017 from then-National League side Maidstone
United.
He
had a six-year spell with Dover between 2004 and 2010, making almost 200
appearances, and his first stint with Gate came in 2010/11.
He
moved to Dartford in 2011, back to Dover in 2013, adding 43 appearances to his
Whites` tally, and then to Maidstone a year later.
Hythe`s
second new arrival is that of the recent joint manager of National League South
outfit Dartford, Jamie Coyle.
Coyle (pictured) was appointed manager of the Darts alongside former team-mate Adam Flanagan in
May 2018.
Both
had been members of the club`s successful sides between 2007 and 2010, winning
the Isthmian League championships of Division One North and the Premier
Division, Coyle playing 140 games.
Coyle,
36, went on to enjoy success as assistant-manager at Leatherhead with promotion
from Isthmian One South to Premier Division, as player-coach winning promotion
with Maidstone United from Isthmian Premier Division to National League South
and then via the play-offs into the National League.
He spent the 2017/18 season as manager of Welling
United.
Earlier
in his career he started out at Crystal Palace and had spells with Gravesend
& Northfleet (Ebbsfleet), Sittingbourne and Dulwich Hamlet. |
