Mariners Bring in Former Shayman

BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division club South Shields have signed forward Sanmi Odelusi – full name Oluwasanmi Babafemi Oluwaseu Odelusi - on an initial deal until January 2020.

The 26-year-old joins the Mariners having last been on the books at Vanarama National League side FC Halifax Town.

He joined the Shaymen in the summer of 2018 from Cheltenham Town and can play on either the wing or up front.

He started his career with Bolton Wanderers where he had loan spells with MK Dons and Coventry City.

He signed for Wigan Athletic in 2015 making 3 appearances for the Latics and whilst with them he had loan spells with Rochdale and Blackpool before joining Colchester United in 2017.

His contract was not renewed by the U`s and he signed for Cheltenham in January 2018, making 9 appearances.
