Woolford,
who turns 34 on Sunday, joins the Pilgrims after a short stay with BetVictor
Northern Premier League Premier Division side Hyde United, who he signed for in
August.
He
started his career in non-League football with Glasshoughton Welfare and
Frickley Athletic before stepping up to the National League with York City in
2006.
He
earned two England C caps whilst a Minsterman before signing for League One
side Scunthorpe United in August 2008.
He
went on to make 103 appearances for the Iron, scoring 15 goals, before making
55 appearances for Bristol City, 93 for Millwall, 28 for Sheffield United, 9
for Fleetwood Town and 66 for Grimsby Town, from whom he was released at the
end of last season.
He
did not feature for the Tigers in the Emirates FA Cup earlier in the campaign
and is therefore free to play for the Pilgrims in the competition. |
