Wright was only appointed in June.

His playing career started at Leicester City making his first team debut in 2002 aged 17.

He had playing spells with Brentford, Blackpool, Barnsley, Walsall and Darlington until being sold to Aberdeen.

He helped Darlington lift the FA Trophy in 2011 and moved into management at Corby Town and Nuneaton Town.

As player-manager at Corby he lifted the Southern League Premier title in 2014/15 before taking over as manager at Vanarama National League North side Darlington until the end of last season.

Wright told https://www.stratfordtownfc.co.uk: I have enjoyed my time at the club I want to say thank to everybody at Stratford for their support and wish the club all the best in the future, I understand that the club wants a change of direction whilst I have a busy schedule with my role at Mansfield Town.

The club have appointed Paul Davis as caretaker-manager and Steve Walker as his assistant the pair`s second spell in temporary charge - and completing the management structure is former Evesham United boss Paul Collicutt in an overseeing role.

Stratford are inviting applications for the vacancy and applicants should email their interest in confidence to club secretary Chris Stephens at secretary@stratfordtownfc.co.uk.
