Cooper is a left-back who joins Bay from league rivals Hythe Town, for whom he had signed for in May from Southern Counties East League side Canterbury City where he played under current Bay boss Ben Smith.

During the 2017/18 campaign he turned out for Faversham Town after starting that season at Folkestone Invicta.

A graduate of the Dartford academy, he was with Leatherhead in the season they gained promotion to the Isthmian Premier through the play-offs in 2013/14.

He has also had spells with Sittingbourne, Hythe and Maidstone United.

Smith has also brought in another ex-Canterbury player in Patrick Nzuzi.

Nzuzi (pictured) joined Canterbury as a right sided player but showed tremendous versatility by playing as left back or right midfield.

He also played for Newcastle United at under-18 and under-23 level, Irish sides Sligo Rovers and Limerick, and had a spell in Belgium.
