The
23-year-old plays at right back and comes into contention for a starting place
at Leamington tomorrow.
He
came through the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy before having spells at
Mickleover Sports which led to a move to then-League One Sheffield United,
making his professional debut in the Carabao Cup against Walsall. However, a
knee injury brought his season to an early end.
Bennett
moved on loan from the Blades to Chesterfield during the 2018/19 season before
trialling with the Spireites in the summer.
Alfreton
boss Billy Heath told the club`s press officer Amar Sharma: “Jake is a great
signing for us, he was at Mickleover Sports before making his move to Sheffield
United. He's been on loan at Chesterfield before and he is a really reliable
and solid right back. He has impressed us after training with us for several
weeks, it brings another member into the squad and we are looking forward to
working with him. He's in contention for Leamington on Saturday”. |
