Ekpiteta,
who joined the Exiles this summer and has featured twice for County in the
Leasing.Com Trophy, made his Fleet debut on Saturday in the 2-1 home defeat to Maidenhead
United.
The
24-year-old joined Newport from National League South side Hungerford Town in
June.
He
picked up a hat-trick of awards in 2018/19 with Hungerford – being named
managers`, supporters’ and players’ player of the season in a campaign where he
made 45 appearances for the Crusaders.
He
started his career alongside twin brother Marvin in the youth set-up at Oxford
United. He also had a spell at Stevenage.
He
joined Hungerford after spells with the likes of AFC Hayes, Bishop`s Stortford
and Chelmsford City.
He
captained Hungerford for the entirety of last season and has notched up more
than 140 appearances for the clubs he has played for so far in his career. |
