Twenty-two-year-old Burn was born and brought up in Darlington and started his career in the academy at Sunderland before switching to Middlesbrough where he became their under-21 captain.

The defender joined Rovers from The Riverside in January 2017 and made his debut a month after signing in a 1-1 draw away at Port Vale.

Burn, who also had a couple of loan spells during his time at Middlesbrough to Oldham Athletic and Scottish side Kilmarnock, joining the Quakers` league rivals York City on loan in November 2017.

He played 21 times for the Minstermen, scoring 3 goals, before returning to Rovers, who released him in the summer.
