Tuesday`s Buildbase FA Trophy Round-Up...
There were several replays in the Buildbase FA Trophy Preliminary Round on Tuesday night plus a couple of original ties which were postponed last weekend.

Cinderford Town beat BetVictor Southern League Division One South rivals Highworth Town 2-1 at Causeway, thanks to a James Harding brace in the 22nd and 49th minutes – Ed Mbunga replying 17 minutes from time.

 

Southern Division One Central outfit Halesowen Town beat Cinderford`s league rivals Evesham United 3-0 at The Grove.

 

Montel Gibson and a brace for Luke Yates saw the Yeltz through, with Evesham having Billy Howard sent-off 19 minutes from time with the score at 2-0.

 

Another Division One Central side through are Aylesbury United, who earned a very good 4-2 win at a Sevenoaks Town outfit who are sitting second in the Isthmian League South East table.

 

A Kyle De Silva penalty gave Oaks an early 8th minute lead, but by the time he bagged his second in the 73rd minute, the Ducks had scored three goals in 3 first half minutes from David Manu, Ben Seaton and Anthony Ball.

 

Manu`s second in stoppage time made sure for the visitors.

 

Isthmian League North side Canvey Island made no mistake in their replay ay the Frost Financial Stadium against an Ashford Town (Middx) side who are bottom of the South Central division without a win to date.

 

Tobi Joseph after 40 minutes and then a Ryan Melaugh brace, Alex Stephenson and Kane Gilbert after the break made it a nap hand for the Gulls.

 

Canvey`s league rivals Aveley also went nap in their replay at an East Grinstead Town outfit who are sitting at the foot of the South East table without a league win.

 

It was 3-0 to the Millers at half-time, thanks to George Allen, Wyan Reid and Alex Akrofi.

 

The recently signed George Sykes and sub Kane Hearn added two more in the second half.

 

Ashford United gained a little revenge for the South East section as they beat North outfit Witham Town 2-0 at The Simarco Stadium.

 

But it took extra-time and with both teams down to ten-men after Witham`s Dan Smith and the Nuts & Bolts` Danny Walder were both dismissed on the half-hour mark after an altercation.

 

Sub Hassan Ibrahiym proved Ashford`s hero with a brace in the 97th and 112th minutes.

 

A South Central side through though are Ware, whose Liam Hope grabbed a stoppage time winner in extra-time at Wodson Park against South East visitors Whitstable Town.

 

Northern Premier League Division One North West leaders Workington AFC sailed through their replay at Borough Park against league rivals Droylsden, thanks to Scott Allison after 29 minutes and a Dave Symington double in the 56th and 62nd minutes – Steve Rigby having equalised just after the break.

 

Pickering Town, sitting bottom of the NPL North West table, gained some confidence with a 3-1 win at Bracken Moor against NPL South East side Stockbridge Park Steels.

 

But this too took extra-time after Matty Turnbull`s 37th minute opener for the Pikes was cancelled out by Jordan Lemon just 3 minutes later.

 

Ryan Blott eventually restored the Pikes` lead in the 104th minute and a last-gasp Sam Cable third made sure for the visitors.

 

Southern League Division One South Winchester City and Division One Central Thame United must meet again after drawing 3-3 in their original tie which was waterlogged off last Saturday.

 

Olly Balmer and Jamie Barron gave City a 2-0 lead at the break which Ik Hill stretched to 3-0 with 8 minutes of the second half gone.

 

An own goal pulled it back to 1-3 with 6 minutes to go and then Dan West makes it 2-3 just 2 minutes later.

 

However, in time added on at the end, Greg Hackett completed the comaback to earn Thame a replay.

 

Brighouse Town won their delayed tie 2-1 at Northern Premier Division One North West rivals Tadcaster Albion.

 

The Brewers, sitting second in the table, were beaten by a brace from Alhassane Keita in the 56th and 74th minutes – the second from the spot – with Jack Walters pulling one back 10 minutes from time.
