The 24-year-old centre-back re-joined York in May 2018 after leaving another league rival, Alfreton Town.

York-born, he is a lifelong City supporter who had spent the previous two years working part-time as a coach in the club's Foundation.

He had progressed through City's youth system before making his debut aged 18 in a League Two fixture against Bristol Rovers in December 2012.

He originally departed Bootham Crescent in May 2014 after making the last of 11 appearances in a League Two play-off semi-final against Fleetwood Town.

He spent a season playing for Gateshead before joining Alfreton in 2016.

He has also played on loan for Hucknall Town, Harrogate Town, and Tadcaster Albion.

He spent a large chunk of the 2018/19 season back with Alfreton on loan.
