Well-Travelled Striker Finds Another Home
Matlock Town have signed Nigerian forward Chib Chilaka from BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division rivals Grantham Town.

The 33-year-old is a well-travelled striker who started his career at the now defunct Rushden & Diamonds and signed a professional contract with Notts County in 2005.

 

After being released by the Magpies, he had spells with Bridlington Town and Leeds Carnegie before returning to the pro game with Bradford City in 2010, making 4 appearances.

 

Spells with Braintree Town, Harrogate Town, Bradford Park Avenue, where he played 109 times and scored 38 goals, Harrogate again and then Shaw Lane AFC, scoring 13 goals in their final season before joining Hyde United in the summer of 2018, netting 12 goals in 35 games.

 

He moved to rivals Mickleover Sports in the summer of 2019 and then onto another in Grantham in early September.
