Izzet Gets Busy

Earlier this week BetVictor Isthmian League Premier Division club Brightlingsea Regent appointed former Colchester United favourite Kem Izzet as their new manager and he has been busy strengthening his squad.

Izzet has returned to Colchester to sign Jake Hutchinson and Diogo Freitas-Gouveia on `work experience`.

Young striker Hutchinson (pictured) is the U`s under-18 top scorer with 9 goals.

He is no stranger to the non-League scene as spent time out at East Grinstead Town, Maldon & Tiptree and Grays Athletic in 2018/19.

Portuguese winger Freitas-Gouveia has 5 goals for the under-18 side to date.

He has also been at Isthmian North outfit Maldon & Tiptree this season.

Midfielder Warren Thomas also joins Regent from league rivals East Thurrock United.

He spent time with Ashford Town (Middx) last season and has also been on the books at Hadley, Waltham Abbey, Staines Town and Metropolitan Police.
