Chukwu, 18, arrives on loan from SkyBet League Two side Salford City until January 2020 having spent the early part of the season on loan with league rivals Ramsbottom United.

The teenager featured against Widnes on the opening day of the season as a stoppage time substitute and went on to make 7 appearances during a short stint with the Rams.

A forward by trade, Chukwu signed for Salford in the summer of 2017 having previously spent time on trial at both Crystal Palace and Manchester City.

Murray, 25, joins from NPL Premier Division side Witton Albion having made 10 appearances under Carl Macauley following a summer move from Marine AFC.

A left-sided attacking midfielder, Murray signed for the Mariners in the summer of 2017, going on to make 88 appearances at the Marine Travel Arena before departing following relegation and the expiry of his contract in May.

The 25-year-old, who also lists West Cheshire League side Newton amongst his former clubs, links up with former Mariners team-mates Michael Grogan and Danny Shaw at the Halton Stadium.

Hellawell joins from NPL Premier Division side FC United of Manchester having had a previous loan spell with Widnes.

Hellawell (pictured) started his career at Stockport Town before moving to Chester FC in the summer of 2017.

He then played for Chester’s under-17 and under-18 side before graduating to the first team squad in early 2018.

He made his first team debut against Altrincham in the Cheshire Cup before making his league debut in April 2018 against Maidstone United.

Last season he spent three months on loan at Hallmark Security League side Barnoldswick Town before joining Widnes on loan last November, where he had been earning rave reviews.

A knee injury which needed an operation kept him side-lined for the remainder of season.
