Goalkeeper Will Godmon, defender John Coker and midfielder Matt Bodkin have all been added to Mead`s squad by manager Tommy Warrilow.

Former Chelsea youngster Godmon came through the academy at Maidstone United and was also on dual forms with Lewes whilst on the Stones books.

He went on to play for Faversham Town, Leatherhead and Hythe Town.

Warrilow told his club`s website: "Will became my number one target once I knew I was losing Lewis Carey. Everyone will know he is a keeper who has fantastic ability and distribution and has played for some top teams already and is still only 22 years old. He started out as a youngster at Chelsea and is one of the best keepers around and in signing a one-year contract with us, I believe will give him the stability to build his reputation even more! It also gives us a base to build on knowing we do not have to worry about the undoubted interest he will attract through the season."

Coker is a centre-back who arrives from league rivals Sittingbourne, having previously been on the books at Leyton Orient and Norwich City.

Warrilow said: “I put a seven-day approach in for last season to try and sign. He is quick, powerful and excellent in the air in both boxes. He has a great background of playing at a higher level. After injury cut short last season for him, I couldn’t wait to talk to him about joining this season. I have spoken to a lot of people about John, and I know what a fantastic signing this will be for the club. The fact we will have a full pre-season with him too, will only benefit both parties and I believe we have the best Centre half at this level and levels above, and John could be destined to big things."

Bodkin moves from Bostik Premier side Margate.

The vastly experienced 34-year-old joined Gate as player/fitness coach on a one-year deal last summer.

He returned to Margate for a second time, having also served the likes of Welling United, Dartford, Dover Athletic, Thurrock and Maidstone United after starting out at Nottingham Forest and Gillingham.

"I cannot express how happy bringing Bods to the club has made me,” added Warrilow. “When as a manager you’re looking for that experienced player to help the younger players develop, you cannot ask for a better playing pedigree and background he brings”.
