The
27-year-old, 6`3” forward arrives on the Kent coast from Scottish Premiership
side Ross County, who he had joined from then-National League outfit Woking for
an undisclosed fee in January 2018 but only managed three appearances and did
not find the net after being signed by then-boss Chris Eagles.
His
last appearance for County came on January 31st against Aberdeen and he was not
part of new joint-managers Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson’s plans.
Effiong
joined Woking in May 2017 and scored 10 goals for the Cards in 35 appearances
before making the move `north of the border`.
He
started his career at St Albans City and also had spells at Boreham Wood and
Chesham United.
Ahead
of his Kingfield move, Effiong played for Evo-Stik Southern Premier side Biggleswade
Town where he scored 23 goals in the first half of the 2016/17 season - form
earned him a move to another National League club, Barrow AFC. |
