The versatile Rea can play at centre-back and in midfield. He was ever-present for Luton in 2017/18, where they won promotion from League Two and he captained the Hatters last season as they went on to win League One.

The 25-year-old has been out since December 2018 when his campaign came to a halt with the injury suffered in the win over Burton Albion.

The ex-Republic of Ireland under-21 international's recent return to full training saw him involved in an in-house game during the international break - his first match action after 10 months of intense rehabilitation.
