Ivor
Lawton (pictured) moves to `Church from league rivals Stratford Town.
The
25-year-old all-action midfielder was a young pro at Coventry City.
He
was with the Sky Blues from the age of 7 to 21 and was a full-time pro for three
of those years and also had a loan spell with neighbours Nuneaton Town at the
start of the 2015/16 season.
An
injury playing for City under-23's ultimately led to him not being offered a
new deal by City in 2016/17 and he went to Scotland trying to earn a deal there
but was unsuccessful and returned to Coventry, where he trained with a number
of local clubs before signing for Halesowen Town in November 2017.
He
signed for Stratford in July and skippered the side initially.
Another
midfield arrival is Bermuda international Paul Douglas from league rivals
Redditch United.
The
22-year-old former Bermuda Hogges player impressed Alvechurch when playing
against them in a recent League Cup tie.
The
highly rated central midfielder has previous experience with Ilkeston Town.
Centre-back
Fortune Maphosa joins `Church after being on loan with Total Motion Midland
League Premier Division side Coventry United – the club where he originally
came through their academy.
He
was snapped up by Alvechurch`s league rivals Tamworth in 2016 and has made a
handful of senior appearances as well as featuring regularly for the Lambs`
under-21 side.
And
finally, goalscoring midfielder Finley Thorndike has moved to Lye Meadow on a
month`s loan from SkyBet Championship side West Bromwich Albion.
The
17-year-old has scored 5 goals in 6 games for the Baggies` under-18 side to
date this season.
