Goalkeeper Dave
Parton, defender Leon Ashman and midfielder Tim Sanders have all elected to
move to Hallmark Security League Premier Division newcomers Whitchurch Alport.
Twenty-five-year-old
Parton began his career with Stoke City.
After being
released by the Potters in 2010, he went on to have spells with Worcester City,
Newcastle Town, Altrincham, Hednesford Town and Nantwich Town before joining
`Grove last year.
Defender Ashman
is a former triple player of the year winner at Newcastle Town.
Formerly with
Burton Albion, Leek Town and Stone Dominoes, he became a popular figure amongst
Castle supporters proving his versatility as a central defender as well as a
striker.
Ashman joined
Chasetown in June 2016 before returning briefly to Newcastle and then onto
Kidsgrove in November 2016.
Midfielder
Sanders captained Newcastle to the NPL play-off semi-finals in 2015, scoring 16
goals and being selected for the league’s team of the season.
A versatile
player, he can operate anywhere in midfield and has plenty of non-League
experience with spells at Leek Town, Hednesford Town, Nantwich and two stints
with `Grove. |
