Gray joined the club in June 2018 and faced and ultimately overcame a massive challenge when he arrived with all of the previous season's back-room staff and first team squad having moved on.

Gray has previously managed St Albans City and Barton Rovers as well as a short spell as coach under Gordon Bartlett at Wealdstone.

Born in Yorkshire, he began his career at Sheffield Wednesday and went on to have spells with Rotherham United, Sheffield, Denaby United, Worksop and Lincoln United.

Upon moving south, he appeared for a number of clubs including Harpenden Town, Barton Rovers, Chesham United, Leighton Town, Wealdstone, Arlesey Town and Dunstable Town.

This season's results and performances have, however, been disappointing and so it was felt that a change was required in order to give the club the best possible chance of avoiding a second successive relegation struggle.
