....Coalville Town coach Steve Walker has joined as his assistant-manager.
Walker`s playing career was cut short at an early age through injury, leaving him to take up a career in coaching.
He is a FA Level 2 coach, a Level 3 Fitness & Conditioning Coach and a Level 4 Development Coach for British Athletics.
His coaching career began at Corby Town, where he was a fitness coach, and then the sadly defunct Rothwell Town - again as a fitness coach - in the Southern League Premier Division.
A brief spell in management saw him take the reins at United Counties League side Desborough Town, where led took them to their highest finish (tenth).
He then joined Coalville prior to the 2014/15 season as first-team coach.
Over the past six years, Walker has worked with Tresham College as a fitness coach and now football coach with their football academy, helping teams to win many college leagues and reach the semi-final of the National League play-offs.
He also runs his own company, Pitchside Football Academy, which helps to operate and manage football academies for clubs. |
