One or two are well-known to followers of Isthmian League football, while some others have been plucked from the Essex non-League scene.

Salim Nassor is a defensive midfielder who possesses English and Somalian citizenship.

The 22-year-old started out on the books at North Greenford United before spending almost a year with Italian side Ternana.

He returned to Britain in the summer of 2016 and joined Scottish third tier outfit Peterhead.

A year later, Nassor returned south and joined Leatherhead and more recently has been with Essex Senior League side Walthamstow.

Briggs Ojeman is a defender who joins Boro from National League side Bromley.

Following his summer 2018 departure from league rivals Dagenham & Redbridge, where he represented the under-18s, Ojemen was picked up by Bromley’s professional development manager Danny Mills.

He then became a regular in the Ravens’ under-23 side, and was spotted by first teams manager Neil Smith.

He made his senior debut in April 2019 as a second half substitute against Solihull Moors.

Three of the better-known new additions to the Boro squad are Sam Bantick, Freddy Moncur and Jordan Wescott.

Bantick (pictured) is a 28-year-old striker who arrives from league rivals Cambridge City.

He had only joined City in September 2019 from Isthmioan Premier outfit Enfield Town, for whom he had joined in July.

He finished the 2018/19 season with Aveley, who he helped to the runners-up spot in the Isthmian North, followed by the ultimate disappointment of a 2-0 defeat against one of his former clubs, Heybridge Swifts, in the play-offs.

He signed for the Millers in March 2019 from league rivals Coggeshall Town and bagged 12 goals for the Seed Growers.

His other previous clubs include Brentwood Town, Concord Rangers, AFC Hornchurch, AFC Sudbury, Tonbridge Angels and VCD Athletic.

Moncur and Westcott both move in from Isthmian Premier outfit Cheshunt.

Moncur is a 23-year-old who made 13 appearances and scored one goal for the Ambers after joining them from National League South side Concord Rangers in early September.

A May 2019 signing for the Beachboys from National League side Ebbsfleet United, the midfielder has also spent time at East Thurrock United, Wingate & Finchley and Bishop`s Stortford after making his professional debut for Leyton Orient in 2017, having started in the famed West Ham academy.

He is the son of ex-Hammer John Moncur.

Westcott is another midfielder who made 14 appearances for Cheshunt this season.

He signed for the Ambers in 2018 and helped them to win promotion to the Isthmian Premier in 2018/19.

Formerly with Takeley, he gained experience in the National League South and played over 50 times for Bishop`s Stortford.

Eighteen-year-old Novell Sony Bruce was originally with Norwich City, where he appeared in the under-18s in 2016/17.

More recently he has spent time with Bromley and also turned out for Southern Counties East League side Croydon.

Tyrone Kirunda is a defender who started out at National League South outfit Welling United as a youngster.

He was snapped up by Charlton Athletic where he became a regular with the under-18 side before being released last year.

Manny Agboola is a goalkeeper who began his career with Reading before transferring his scholarship to Oxford United in 2015.

Whilst on the U`s books, he spent some time on loan at Hampton & Richmond Borough, Solihull Moors, North Leigh, Leatherhead, Staines Town and Banbury United.

He had been with Tamplin before having joined Billericay Town in the summer.

Germaine Dua is a defender who follows Sam Bantick from Cambridge City.

Dua has previously played for the likes of AFC Hayes, Crawley Town, Arlesey Town, Farnborough, Wingate & Finchley, Chesham United and Waltham Abbey.

He signed for City in August.

Tambeson Eyong joins Boro having only recently been announced as having re-joined league rivals Heybridge Swifts.

The 30-year-old midfielder started out in the youth system at West Ham United before moving to Dagenham & Redbridge.

He then had short stints at Aveley and Harlow Town before signing for AFC Hornchurch in March 2010.

He made 179 appearances and scored 7 goals over 4 years with the Urchins.

After a season and a half at Canvey Island, he joined Margate.

In June 2015, he headed back to Canvey but finished the season returning to Hornchurch.

The following season then-National League South side Bishop`s Stortford came calling and he spent 4 months there until a managerial change saw him surplus to requirements.

Another spell back at Canvey was followed in January 2017 by his first arrival at Billericay Town.

He featured regularly for Billericay until his contract was cancelled by mutual consent at the end of the season.

In March 2018 in joined Heybridge before re-joining Billericay in July 2018.

Three other new recruits are Mohammed Mahmoud, Akeem Campbell and Josh Exley-Banks.
