Saunders left the Dabbers in the summer to join The Nash and returns as attacking reinforcement ahead of a busy festive period.

The 24-year-old is the son of former Wales and Liverpool star Dean and was a product of the Crewe Alexandra youth system where he made 27 appearances before moving on to Notts County where he played just 3 times.

He has also represented Wales at under-19 and under-21 level.

The striker scored 17 goals for Nantwich last season, including a goal in every round of Nantwich’s second consecutive successful Cheshire Senior Cup campaign.

Saunders got his Dabbers career off to a fine start, with a hat-trick against Lancaster City in only the third outing of the season.

He also grabbed two against his former club in a memorable 2-1 victory at Gresty Road against Crewe Alexandra in the second round of the Cheshire Senior Cup.
