Benn Quits Hemsworth for Ossett United Post
BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One North West club Ossett United have appointed Wayne Benn as their new manager.

Benn, 43, has a wealth of non-League managerial experience and resigned from his role at Hemsworth Miners Welfare, a club he has taken from the Toolstation Northern Counties East League First Division to third in the NCEL Premier.

 

As a player, Benn started his career at Bradford City before dropping into non-League football where he played made more than 400 appearances for Bradford Park Avenue, Halifax Town and Frickley Athletic amongst others.

 

Benn made the step into management as assistant at both Bradford Park Avenue and Guiseley AFC before he became a manager in his own right, taking control of Hemsworth on two occasions with a spell at Goole AFC in between.
