First
through the door was centre-back Calam Gallimore, who has joined from BetVictor
Isthmian League South Central side Marlow.
Gallimore
signed for Marlow from Binfield`s former league rivals Highmoor-Ibis (now
Reading City) in December 2013.
A
central defender by trade, he can also fill in at full back, He established
himself as a regular in 2017/18.
Midfielder
George Short also made his debut for the club recently having recovered from a
long-term injury.
Short`s
former clubs include Godalming Town, Slough Town, Bracknell Town and Winchester
City.
Also
joining us from Marlow is exciting full back Elliott Legge.
The
24-year-old signed for Marlow in July from rivals and neighbours Bracknell
Town.
He
previously turned out for Bracknell, Loughborough University and a successful
football scholarship in America with Lynn University`s Fighting Knights.
Prior
to that, he was with Hayes & Yeading United, Reading Town, Hitchin Town and
Hungerford Town.
And
Binfield pulled off something of a coup by bringing in experienced midfielder
Tom Melledew (pictured) from Southern League Division One South side Thatcham Town.
Melledew
has a great range of passing and an eye for goal and possesses great experience
in the Southern League, including scoring over 20 goals from midfield to help
Wantage Town win promotion in 2014.
He
re-joined Thatcham in 2015 and lifted the FA Vase at Wembley in 2017 and made
in excess of 200 appearances for the Kingfishers.
He
has also been with Andover and Abingdon United. |
