Prolific Marksman`s Back at Leiston

Prolific non-League marksman John Sands is back with Leiston, attempting to help his former club from the depths of the bottom end of the BetVictor Southern League Premier Division.

Sands has recently returned from a short spell in Dutch football with RKSV Leonidas and had spent time training with another of his ex-clubs, Needham Market.

A former Isthmian League `golden boot` winner, Sands made his name with the likes of Mildenhall Town, Canvey Island, Chelmsford City, Bury Town and Leiston.

The imposing striker also had a spell in the Vanarama National League North with Boston United, joining the Pilgrims from Leiston in November 2015, having relocated to Spalding.
